SOAS University of London is a well-known public research university, which is located in London. It serves as a constituent college of the federal University of London. Established in the year 1916, it is regarded as the world’s leading institution for the study of Africa, Asia and the Middle East. Its library was designed in the year 1973 by Sir Denys Lasdun and is situated in the Philips Building. The institution is said to be among the UK’s best small group teachings with a student-staff ratio of 11:1. It serves as a centre for subjects that are concerned with Africa, Asia and the Middle East.
