The California University of Pennsylvania is a private institute in Pennsylvania that was established in the year 1852. The university is a member of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education (PASSHE). It was developed to provide a world-class education to students, which is affordable. Along with state of art facilities and exceptional courses, the institute offers real-life exposure to students. It was named SouthWestern Normal School in 1875 and was later renamed as California State Normal School in 1914.
It was again renamed as California State Teachers College in 1928 where a 4-year curriculum was restored. Then in 1983, the institute became a part of the commonwealth’s State System of Higher Education and changed its name to California University of Pennsylvania. It offers world-class educational programs as it is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education.
The sprawling campus is spread over 294 acres that have all modern facilities for a proper learning environment. It consists of 40 academic buildings, residence buildings, and performance halls. There is a soccer ground near the main campus. Within the recreational area, there is a football stadium and a picnic area. The campus has more than 100 student clubs, an on-campus farm, library, multicultural center, Natali student center, and a student health center that is active 24×7. The Career and Professional Development Center has a team that is committed to developing and grooming students to assist them in becoming professionals in the future.
Courses on arts, science, and humanities are provided at undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels. Certificate courses are also offered. The university has a Global Online program where UG, PG, and certificate courses are offered. Students from other universities can also apply for admission to California University of Pennsylvania by their transfer admission system. The university checks the transfer credits for students who have earned grade C or more. A student can talk to this department before enrolling in a course, where he or she will be assisted to choose the right program for his/her career. Moreover, every undergraduate and graduate is assigned a dedicated career coach.

Furthermore, the Internship Center at the university arranges internships for students across various reputable organizations. Eligible students will be given a scholarship of $1000 to $4000. The program called Local APSCUF Student Scholarships offers all students $1000 for their education. Besides this, the California University of Pennsylvania Need Grant, Board of Governor’s Scholarship, Board of Governor’s Talent Scholarship, California University Scholarship of Excellence scholarship programs are also awarded to students.
