The program equips students with the skills and knowledge to plan, design and build the electrical and electronic circuitry that is integral to so many high technology applications
The program aims to provide students with advanced study in both the theoretical and the practical aspects of engineering that builds on a student’s previous knowledge and experience
Upon completion of the program, students will be able to critically evaluate problems and use professional skills and knowledge in the systematic development of complex engineering systems
Topics cover areas such as physics, materials, mechanics, mathematics, project management and innovation, and a masters research project

Bachelors	No specific cutoff mentioned Applicants must normally hold one of the following appropriate qualifications: an engineering degree a science degree a computer science degree an Australian TAFE diploma or advanced diploma (AQF Level 5) qualification in an appropriate field plus seven years relevant work experience an equivalent overseas qualification Applicants must demonstrate successful completion of higher education topics in mathematics (equivalent to first-year university mathematics) and science (equivalent to university undergraduate topics in physics) Some basic knowledge of biology and human physiology is also assumed. However, the Dean (Education) may, under certain circumstances and subject to specific conditions, admit others who can show evidence of fitness for candidature

Additional info	Students with Successful completion of an approved secondary or tertiary qualification, taught in the English language in a country where English is the official language or the main language spoken with evidence no more than five years old on the proposed date of commencement of the course can apply for ELP waiver
