  • By choosing to study geology students will become a scientific detective, working closely with the professors to uncover the Earth’s past and predict its future. Students will find the field of earth sciences rewarding if they enjoy the outdoors, have a good scientific knowledge base, and want to understand how the world around them works.
  • The geology program is available at both the BSc and BSc (honors) level.
  • Acadia’s curriculum allows students to achieve professional registration as a geologist. It includes a core of courses at the first to fourth-year levels and allows elective courses tailored to your interests.

  • Prerequisites: Academic or Precalculus Mathematics and Chemistry.
