- This degree will give students firm foundations in the major areas of mathematics and economics and explore mathematical applications in economics
- Economics modules will give students in-depth understanding of micro and macroeconomics, which they can study to an advanced level
- Mathematics modules will give students a solid grounding in core topics such as algebra and calculus
- Optional modules, which are chosen from a wide range, allow students to explore topics in pure and applied mathematics, and statistics
- In first year,students will be introduced to micro and macroeconomics, study the key labour market actors, and develop knowledge of the structures and institutions of industry,In mathematics, they will study core topics including probability and statistics, calculus and mathematical analysis, and linear algebra
- In year 2, students will continue to study micro and macroeconomic theory and will learn more advanced techniques in the application of economic models to problems
- In the final year,students will undertake a project in either mathematics or economics
- Students will cover modules like:- Economic Institutions (Industry), Economic Theory and Applications, Calculus and Mathematical Analysis, Linear Algebra with Applications, Modelling with Differential Equations, etc.
