The Mathematics major provides a broad education in various areas of mathematics in a program flexible enough to accommodate many ranges of interest
The program covers different aspects of mathematics including the language and tool of the sciences, a cultural phenomenon with a rich historical tradition, and a model of abstract reasoning
The curriculum includes courses from topics such as: Algebra, Combinatorics, and Number Theory, Logic and Foundations, Analysis, Geometry and Topology and Applied Mathematics

Additional info	Interview: Yale encourages applicants to have a conversation with a Yale interviewer if possible, but an interview is not a required part of the application process. Interviews are conducted by volunteer members of the Yale Alumni Schools Committees (ASC), which are based in many locations throughout the world Applicants taken at least two years of secondary education where English is the medium of instruction can be waived from ELP requirement
