Susquehanna University is a private university that was established in 1858. It is situated in Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania. The university is a liberal arts college based in rural central Pennsylvania and is committed exclusively to undergrad education. It is represented by the president, a governing body of 56 individuals and a team of administrators. The university is authorized by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. Susquehanna keeps up a student-to-faculty ratio of 13:1 with 90% of full-time faculty holding a doctorate or highest equivalent degree. The university offers more than 100 majors, minors, and programs and gives students the opportunity to plan their own major.
Susquehanna adjusts its liberal arts education with five pre-professional programs in law, veterinary medicine, and teaching, and collaborates with Thomas Jefferson University for partnered allied health, Temple University for dentistry and Columbia University for engineering. In 2019, an average of 94% of graduates was taken in graduate school or employed within six months of graduation. Susquehanna University is divided into two main academic departments, the School of Arts and Sciences and the Sigmund Weis School of Business. The School of Arts and Sciences offers the majority of majors, putting an emphasis on a more traditional liberal arts education including science and humanities. The Sigmund Weis School of Business emphasizes a technical degree.
Susquehanna’s Honors Program supports student’s commitment to discovery and achievement. The faculties are committed to teaching and student’s success. The university chooses Honors students from the top 10% of the enrolling class academically from all majors. It expects that students will grasp the absolute Susquehanna experience by contributing as pioneers, entertainers, competitors, and community servants in addition to their intense academic commitments. The GO Programme, as a major aspect of a school policy launched in 2009, requires all Susquehanna students to go off-campus for diverse learning. Students have a choice between GO Short programs of 2 to 6 weeks or semester-long GO Long programs.
The university offers more than 150 student clubs and associations, a variety of honor societies and professional organizations, and 11 Greek Life organizations. Scholarships are granted to qualified students by Susquehanna and others and don’t need to be reimbursed. Numerous scholarships are granted independent of financial need, in spite of the fact that those through the gift endowment program depend on financial need. Students will be automatically considered for grants through Susquehanna and cannot apply directly to them.

Buss, U.S. diplomat, professor at the University of Southern California and Stanford University, Richard Caruso, the founder and chairman of Integra Life Sciences, David Day, the longest-serving Lutheran missionary in Liberia
