Baltimore University (UB) was set up in the year 1925 and is headquartered in Baltimore, Maryland. It is an integral part of the Maryland University System. The schools and colleges under the university provide education in the fields of business, law, public affairs, and applied arts and sciences education.
Baltimore University provides career-oriented education for future and existing graduates, presenting the city with highly trained citizens who make exemplary contributions to the local community. UB’s more than 70 undergraduate, associate, doctoral and credential programs are grouped into five professional pathways, which resonate with the fields of in-demand careers. Their mission is to assist any UB student needing support with obtaining funds to cover their tuition costs. They think all students should create an expense plan and make wise decisions to fund their education before borrowing any funds.
UB provides a host of financial assistance and payment options so all students can benefit from UB’s education. In the form of grants, jobs, student loans, parent loans, scholarships, and other prizes, financial assistance is given. UB financial assistance programs were tailored in such a way so as to help students with academic capability and inadequate financial resources. The services are primarily tailored to give a hand to all those students who can’t finish their education without funding. Around 80% of university students get help from their office. Students receive an assistance package, which is calculated on the basis of their financial need as assessed by the FAFSA results and the tuition fee for their course.
Grants: Grants are given out on the basis of financial necessity as determined by FAFSA results. Grants are gift accounts, which do not require redemption. A financial aid award for a student will be inclusive of grant funds on the basis of guidelines issued. There are three classes of grants offered by the university – Federal Grant, State Grant, and University Grant.
Scholarships: There are mainly two divisions of bursaries: merit and requirement. Although all consider the highest-successful candidates, the first form is based solely on merit, and the second on merit and financial necessity. Many outlets offer private scholarships as well.
Work-Study: Federal Work-Study (FWS) is real, provides on-the-job training, and is a way to gain important work experience in the pre-graduation. Students should view their work-study job as the perfect chance to improve their skills, create networks in the industry, and build a strong reference point for future jobs. Work-students are vital to the daily operations of the institution, and they are a respected member of the community.
Loans: These are amounts that the students borrow and need to be repaid, the amount of the loan depends on the students and their family. University offers three types of loans – Graduate Loans, Plus Loans, and Private Loans.
