Established in the year 1966 in Norfolk, Virginia, the ECPI University is one of the most esteemed student-centered institutes in the United States of America. East Coast Polytechnic Institute, or ECPI, opened its second campus in the year 1984 in Richmond, Virginia. Registering significant development and growth, ECPI established its branches all across North Carolina and South Carolina, and Virginia.
In 1987, its main campus was relocated to Virginia Beach. With passing time, the university included different programs in order to cater to different requirements of students. In 1998, it received accreditation from the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools for awarding associate degrees in diverse fields. In 2011, ECPI attained the university status and was accreditedby the corresponding commission for awarding Master of Science Degree in Information Systems.
The university was also designated as the National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense Education by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the NSA. Apart from Virginia Beach, the university has branches in Raleigh, Charlotte, Greensboro, Newport News, Norfolk, South Richmond, West Richmond, Innsbrook, Roanoke, Northern Virginia, Charleston, Greenville, Columbia, Orlando Lake Mary, and San Antonio. Moreover, ECIP offers online degree programs in various streams including technology, business, health science, and criminal justice.
ECPI’s main campus is based in the independent city of Virginia Beach and is located in proximity to the oceanfront. The city boasts of a host of restaurants and picturesque locations, in addition to state parks, three military bases, and beach areas. It has a well-developed infrastructure and offers excellent connectivity from one point to the other.
Keeping in mind the requirements of students, ECPI has established six colleges, which are dedicated to offering educational programs in several areas of study. The six colleges are the College of Health Science, College of Culinary Arts, College of Nursing, College of Technology, College of Business, and College of Criminal Justice. These colleges offer programs in different streams including culinary arts, nursing, and business. In addition, the university offers career services and by availing the same, students can receive guidance on facing interviews, negotiations regarding salary, externships, and resume writing. And, not only regional students but the university takes special care of its international students as well. It provides assistance in different fields like enrolment, placements, and airport pickup.
The university has also partnered with leading firms, thereby providing world-class placements in different companies, including Cisco, Rolls Royce, Hewlett-Packard, Canon, Mercedes-Benz, and BMW.
