- On successful completion of the program students will have:
- A Development Studies graduate will: be committed to knowledge creation, ethical practice, and critical perspectives about development and underdevelopment
- A Development Studies graduate will: possess substantial and broad knowledge of development issues including urban and regional; globalization; economic; environmental sustainability; and cultural diversity
- A Development Studies graduate will: demonstrate a capacity for logical, critical, and creative analysis
- A Development Studies graduate will: have high-level communication skills and/or the ability to engage in a constructive public and professional discourse in community, cross-cultural, and policy contexts
- Students could find themselves employed for the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, helping developing countries address their internal constraints to trade, or more locally you could work with an Indigenous community to interpret cult
