This program appeal to students who emerge from visual/media arts backgrounds at the high school or post-secondary level, for mature students, and those who have a love of design and visual expression
Students display a passion for print and web design, package design, typography, motion graphics, photography, and illustration
Students will develop the ability to visualize and express concepts based on the client’s needs
Graduation from this program provides the first step in professional accreditation as a Registered Graphic Designer (Association of Registered Graphic Designers of Ontario)
Graduates can find entry-level positions including junior designer, prepress production artist, and web designer

Additional info	Applicants must be at least 18 years old A portfolio is required: Minimum of 8 pieces of the best and most current traditional or digital artwork/ design is required (not more than 15 total pieces) The inclusion of a sketchbook of ideas, illustrations, and doodles that show an ability to work spontaneously, to be creative and original is highly recommended Quality of artwork/design is judged based on what is expected of a successful student at the secondary school level with a concentration in art and media arts class(es) or equivalent A variety of subjects is expected. Don't submit a single subject such as all portraits or all superheroes, etc. All work must be an original creation
