Economics is a versatile field that deals with the analysis and management of production, distribution, and consumption of goods and services.
Economics gives us the analytical tools to understand questions such as how prices are determined, why some people are unemployed, why interest rates rise and fall, and why products are traded between nations.
Memorial offers major, minor, and honors programs leading to either a bachelor of arts (BA) or a bachelor of science (B.Sc.) in economics.
To apply to declare the economics major, students must complete 30 credit hours (10 courses), including the following:
- six credit hours in critical reading and writing (CRW) courses, including at least three credit hours in English
- six credit hours in mathematics
- six credit hours in economics
- six credit hours in a second science subject, other than mathematics and economics

Class 12th	50% Applicants must hold one of the following: Higher Secondary School Certificate Higher Secondary Certificate Indian School Certificate Intermediate Examination Certificate All India or Delhi Senior School Certificate Pre-University Certificate Subjects required: English Mathematics Laboratory Science (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics) Social Studies or Modern/Classical Language Elective Applicants must get a minimum overall grade of 50% in the required subject areas and this will normally be considered equivalent to no more than two grades less than 50% and a “pass” in all 5 subject areas
Exams	TOEFL: 79 A minimum score of 20 in reading and writing, and not less than 17 in listening and speaking. IELTS: 6.5 At least a band 6 in reading and writing PTE: 58 A minimum score of 58 in each of the reading, writing, listening and speaking
Additional info	Applicants should be waived off from ELP if they have successful completion of three years of full-time instruction in an English language secondary institution including the completion of English at the Grade 12 or equivalent level.
