- The Engineering Physics program provides students with an extensive background in mathematics and physics and teaches how to apply this knowledge to engineering problems
- It is offered in cooperation with the Department of Physics
- Within the program is the Nanoengineering Option which focuses on aspects of the emerging field of nanotechnology and provides a more interdisciplinary perspective appropriate to that field
- Engineering physics combines core courses in Electrical Engineering with Physics and offers specific technical electives in the fourth year of study that focuses on the combination of these two fields
- Graduates of the Engineering Physics program have gone on to careers in telecommunications, remote sensing, microdevice fabrication, biochips, industrial lasers, fluids engineering, and teaching
