- The MA in Politics gives students stimulating high level training in the core components of contemporary political study, and a solid grounding in research skills and theoretical approaches to politics
- Students can select options that focus on global, comparative and British politics, as well as political theory and philosophy
- This degree is enriched by the chance of work-based placement learning, either through the Wales for Africa programme or through placements arranged with government organisations in Wales
- Students will study four compulsory 20-credit international relations modules, and a further two optional modules before taking a 60-credit dissertation project in the second part of the course
- The compulsory modules are: conceptual issues in the theory and practice of social sciences; approaches to political theory; democracy and constitutional design; and comparative governance in complex systems
- A wide selection of further optional modules span from war, identity and society to politics in contemporary Britain, and from cyber governance to foundations of international political economy
