  • The Advanced Engineering Management Programme (AEMP) is delivered jointly by Birmingham Business School (BBS) and the College of Engineering and Physical Sciences (EPS), combining the expertise and strengths of both schools to offer a high quality, distinctive and flexible course
  • The program introduces students to core management concepts in semester one before selecting one of four specialist pathways in semester two
  • This structure of the program will allow students to present the core principles in semester one and then to demonstrate the application in semester two before progressing into the summer and the opportunity to investigate and develop a contemporary Engineering Management topic via a 60 credit research project
  • The flexibility this program offers will allow students to specialize in a pathway most suited to their skills and career aspirations, or undertake a generalist route that will instill a broader insight into engineering management.
  • Students can choose from the following specialist pathways:
    • Construction Management
    • Operations Management
    • Project Management
    • Systems Management

  • Applicants should hold a minimum 2.1 BEng (Hons) or equivalent from a recognized institution
  • Applicants with professional qualifications and work experience would also be considered on a case-by-case basis, as well as applicants with BSc (Hons) degrees in Physical Sciences and Technology based subjects.
  • Applicants with either four-year Bachelors degree (first-class or very good upper second class) or three-year Bachelors degree (first class) from recognized institutions in India
ExamsIELTS: 6.5
  • With no less than 6.0 in any band

PTE: Accepted
  • With no less than 59 in all four skills

  • Applicants can fulfill the ELP waiver requirement if they have complete:-
    -India Standard XII (CBSE/CISCE/West Bengal) with 75% or above
    -India Standard XII (other Indian state boards) with 80% or above
